A gouache illustration of a United States Air Force pilot Lieutenant Joseph G. Powers, by artist Kenneth S. Fagg (1901-1980), with reference photos. This well-rendered portrait depicts the pilot in a parka and helmet, the visor lifted, a thoughtful expression on his face. The work is signed ‘Ken Fagg’ and dated ‘March 17 1955’ toward its right side, with a notation reading ‘Lt Joseph G. Powers, 74th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, Flying Tigers.’ The illustration is presented under glass in a gold tone frame molded with leafy designs, and has a wire for hanging to its verso along with a pair of black-and-white photos of the pilot that were likely used as reference.

- photos mounted to verso with tape; some wear to frame; some apparent toning and warping to paper.
