An early 20th century hand-colored lithograph on embossed paper after a 19th-century illustration by Welsh artist John Sobieski Stolberg Stuart (born John Carter Allen). The piece depicts a Scottish man in green and red tartan attire; he is shown holding a sword and rounded shield. The piece originates from Stuart’s work with his brother Charles Edward Stuart (born Charles Manning Allen) depicting traditional Scottish attire. Their printed works include Vestiarium Scoticum and The Costumes of the Clans. The print includes a faux plate mark to the edges; it is signed in plate to the lower left. It is set under cream French matting and presented under glass in a black and gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- surface wear and scratching to frame, especially to edges; foxing and toning to paper; gallery sticker and tape to frame’s backing paper.
