Item Details

A pair of oil paintings on canvas, including a copy painting after Vasily Grigorevich Perov’s artwork The Birdcatcher. The pieces include a painting of a white-coated dog, standing before a fence and scrubby grass, signed illegibly to its lower right corner. The copy of The Birdcatcher depicts a young boy and an older gentleman concealing themselves in a wooded area with a whistle and and trap, a wooden cage at the ready. Both pieces are presented without frames or hanging hardware.
