Antique Elsmore & Foster Purple Transfer Printed Master Butter Dish 1853-71
Item Details
An antique Elsmore & Foster master butter dish. The transfer printed piece was produced between 1853-71 by the firm operating from the Clay Hills pottery in Tunstall, Staffordshire. The covered dish has floral pattern on a circular form, with a small strainer within and a flower finial. There are impressed marks reading ‘Elsmore & Foster and Co’.

- filled chip and a flake with staining; crazed.
