A signed artist’s proof lithograph on paper titled Rendez-vous sous les Arbres by listed French artist Jean-Claude Picot (b. 1933), created in 2004. Portrayed in a Post-Impressionist manner with vibrant colors, loose brushstrokes, and suppressed detail, this work features a couple lounging in the grass along a river harbor, populated with small shacks and trees on the waterfront. The work is signed by hand in graphite to the lower right; it is marked ‘EA’ to the lower left. The composition is presented under acrylic glass with turquoise matting, and housed in a brown wood frame with a silver-tone liner. A descriptive label is present to the verso.
