A textile collage of a sleeping child given as a shower gift in 1931. This composition of pieced fabric uses a satin trimmed with lace to create a bedspread and pillow, nestled within which is the face of a sleeping child who has a head of curly blond human hair. Written to the verso is an inscription reading ‘Tillie Hoyt Shower gift. National Radio Co. Malden, Mass. 1931’. The piece is presented behind glass in a wood frame that is wired for hanging.

- moderate chipping to frame; some toning to fabric and lace; fabric is flattened by glass; tears in paper backing.
