A circa 2000 acrylic painting on a circular terra cotta plate by Haitian writer and artist Frankétienne (b.1936), best known as the ‘father of Haitian letters’. The abstract work depicts a blend of marbled orange, black, grey and blue hues, accented with a magenta textured glitter application. The plate is signed and dated in black paint to the lower left. It includes a hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- to Fair; a piece is cracked off to the right side with visible glued repair; overall minor surface wear and markings throughout.
