Japanese Porcelain Hand-Painted Nippon Vase

A vintage hand-painted porcelain Nippon vase. This Japanese vase comes in an amphora-shaped vase with applied gilt handles on either side. There is a blue wave design to the body with a hand-painted cottage and lake scene to the front. The scene is bordered at the top and bottom by gilt bands and moriage beading; the base is also accented with gilt trim and moriage beading. The underside is stamped with the Morimura importer mark along with ‘Hand-Painted, Nippon’. This mark dates this piece between 1910 and the early 1920s.
