Early 20th Century Lap Desk on Stand

An early 20th century lap desk on stand. The top portion of this piece is a travel desk featuring a figured mahogany case with decorative brass escutcheon and medallion on the lid. The lid tips back to reveal a leather inlay writing surface with gold tone tooled edging, curved pen tray and circular ink well box. The piece rests into a stand with apron sides and tapering block legs.
