Item Details
A hand-knotted Shiraz area rug. This wool rug features a hooked pole medallion on a filed of geometric patterns with animal forms in a palette of red, orange, midnight blue, green and cream. It offers medallions at each corner with a geometric border flanked by a reciprocating saw tooth guard border. The rug is finished with overcast selvedge edges and a short warp fringe at either end. A tag marked ‘Shiraz’ is attached, otherwise unlabeled.
