A vintage carved wood guardian lion. The Chinese guardian lion statue is carved from wood and painted gold, with inlaid shaped stones. The figure has a pointed tail, horns and fangs, suggesting a dragon hybrid. The feet are carved in such a way as to suggest it initially rested on a stand.
