Robert Mitchell Vintage Secretary Desk

Item Details

A circa early 20th century vintage secretary desk by the Robert Mitchell Furniture Company of Cincinnati, in maple. It has an upper hutch with brackets for two shelves (not included), and a drop-front writing surface with sliding supports to either side, enclosing various small drawers, envelope slots, and cubbies. The base of the piece features three drawers with wavy fronts and brass pulls, and stands on carved wood claw-and-ball feet. It retains its original label to the back surface. Note that it has one-piece construction, i.e. the hutch cannot be removed as it can on some secretaries.
