Moire Glaze Enamel Serving Trays and Stoneware Artisan Bowl
Item Details
A including two Moiré Glaze Kyes enamel serving trays and a signed artisan stoneware vessel Included are a round serving tray enameled with a deep turquoise color, and having raised sides and filigree metal handles. A smaller, black enameled rectangular tray with handles is also included. Both trays are marked "Moiré Glaze Kyes Hand Made, Pasadena California". Included is a hand thrown stoneware lidded vessel, made using a white stoneware clay, having a very wide mouth and slightly raised gallery lip, over which a fitted cover sits. The lid has an applied, Art Deco-style arched handle and deeply carved flame pattern in yellow, framed by a bright green rim with speckles in the glaze. The cover sits over the green shoulders of the vessel; the base of the vessel tapers dramatically to a narrow foot and is carved in the same flame pattern as the lid, and glazed in bright yellow. It has an ombré green to yellow liner glaze, and is signed to the base, "Jesee Mis(?)"
