A Langston grandfather clock by Howard Miller. This grand, American made timepiece, model 611-017 with serial number MF1093610139, features a gold tone and silver tone face displaying Arabic numerals under a moon dial, and its Kleninger movement has Westminster chimes with a nighttime shut-off function. The pendulum and weights have a polished brass finish and can be viewed through the vertically grooved glass door and glass side panels of the case. The case is constructed from hardwood with a Windsor cherry finish and boasts an open pediment with center finial, figured veneer accent panels and reeded pilasters with baluster capitals flanking the door. The clock stands on bracket feet with a serpentine apron at the base.
