Pair of Leather Renaissance Style Armchairs

Item Details

A pair of Renaissance style leather armchairs. These chairs feature an exposed wooden frame with a square back wrapped in a tan leather with large brass nail heads, and topped with scrolled finials. The arms are straight and feature a scrolled carve knuckle, and lead to a wide square seat with matching leather wrapped to it. The chairs rise on a pair of curved and scrolled carved front legs and a pair of straight square legs to the rear. The legs are supported by a box stretcher and shows woven leather supports to the underside. These lovely chairs go with out any maker’s marks.

Condition

Condition is consistent with age and shows signs of wear to the leather’s edging and slight scuffs to the frame.
