A photogravure reproduction after an original painting by John Haynes-Williams. This work depicts a couple in a manicured garden, with the a young suitor placing a ring on his lover’s finger. The print, appearing to use elements of chine-colle, is signed in plate and hand-signed in pencil, both to the lower left, and is presented unframed without hanging hardware.
Condition
- some coiling to print; tear to lower right side, about five inches long; two small tears to lower edge that have been repaired with tape; overall toning and staining to print.

- measures edge of paper; plate mark measures: 31.5" W. × 21.5″ H.
