A framed oil painting on canvas attributed to American artist Harvey Joiner (1852 – 1932), signed on the lower right corner. Depicted is a nighttime illustration of trees. It is framed in wood and wired for hanging.
Harvey Joiner was a beloved Kentucky artist, who primarily worked in Louisville, with a brief stint in Colorado. He spent most of his time in Cherokee Park, where he fashioned his characteristic summer and fall landscapes.
Condition
Painting has bubbling which appears to be due to heat damage and pooling resulting from heat exposure. Painting is muddy and fragmented. Some scratches on frame. Wear to back.
