Woodblock on Paper After Utagawa Kunisada

A Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print on paper Yamanaka, Between Hakone and Mishima: Tojibō from the from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō Road after famed Edo period Japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1865). This is a later 19th-century copy that depicts the Kabuki actor Matsumoto Kōshirō V (五代目松本幸四郎) as Tojibō. Presented with a white mat and black edge, under glass, and housed in a modern black-painted woof frame with red sight.
