Marvin Finn Signed Folk Art Chicken Statue

An original bird sculpture by revered folk artist Marvin Finn. Iconic for his “bird flock” bird pieces, this sculpture depicts a seated blue and white chicken with a red comb and a striped tail. The piece is signed and dated on the bottom “Finn ’94.”

Marvin Finn (1913 – 2007) was born in Alabama, but became an established artist in Louisville where he started producing his unique folk art in 1972. A tribute to the artist is on permanent display on Louisville’s waterfront titled Flock of Finns and features 28 metal bird sculptures based on Finn’s work.
