An offset lithograph after artist Joseph Wolf’s depiction of a Germain Peacock Pheasant. This print on paper depicts the Polyplectron Germaini nesting on a grassy patch, featuring elongated feathers accented with iridescent spots at the ends. It covers what appears to be stout duckling chicks. To the lower margins of the composition is a printed inscription denoting the bird’s scientific and common name. The print is presented under glass beneath a single-layered mat in a textured black and bronze tone wooden frame featuring moulded beaded patterning to the inner border. To the verso is affixed hanging wire.
