A print on paper after Femme de Guemene, from a collection titled Galerie Armoricaine, after listed painter François Hippolyte Lalaisse (1812-1884) and printed by D. Derveaux. This colorful print depicts a long-haired man taking the hand of a well-dressed woman against a stone- and brush-filled background. This work is signed in plate to the lower left and marked ‘D. Derveaux – Edit. Col.’ to the lower right margin, along with being titled above and below the central image. This piece is matted behind glass in a slim wood frame with a wire for hanging.
Condition
- light foxing to print; print is not centered under mat; wear and scratches throughout frame; sticker residue to bottom right of frame; stains and tears to verso.
