Antique East Asian Painted Hanging Scroll of a Red-Crowned Crane
Item Details
An antique East Asian painting on paper mounted to a beige patterned fabric hanging scroll. The piece depicts a red-crowned crane with foliage to the background. The scroll includes black lettering near the handle; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. It is presented unframed and includes a handwritten note that dates the work to the late 19th-century.
Condition
- toning, foxing, staining and creasing present throughout, with areas of fading and paint loss; some tears along edges; item would benefit from cleaning.
