Disarmed WWII Japanese Type 4 Ceramic Grenade

Item Details

A disarmed World War II-era Japanese Type 4 ceramic grenade. As their industrial capabilities diminished in the later years of World War II, Japanese armorers enlisted local village potters to create throwing devices such as these in expectation of a homeland defense. This piece features a simple round body with an cream finish and a narrow neck, through which a blasting cap would have one day been fitted.
