A Chippendale style five-drawer chest by Superior Furniture Co. The cherry, mahogany-stained case features a rectangular top above two half-length drawers over three machine-dovetailed, full-length drawers. The side panels and drawer fronts are fitted with a pierced, batwing backplates and brass tone, bail handles. The full-length drawers also have faux escutcheons. The chest rises on a molded base with bracket feet and one drawer interior is marked ‘Superior Furniture Co. / Lowell, Michigan’.
