Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian wool area rug. This wool rug features a star pendant medallion on a deep green lozenge having rectilinear vines with floral and foliate details. The rug has decorative spandrels and a primary border with lancet leaves, rosettes and palmettes flanked by guard borders with a meandering carnation pattern in pinks, reds and ivory. The rug is finished with overcast edges, a kilim skirt at each end, and a knotted wool warp fringe at either end. Unlabeled.
