Utagawa Toyokuni III Ukiyo-e Woodblock Portraits

A pair ukiyo-e woodblock prints by Japanese artist Utagawa Toyokuni III ((三代歌川豊国, 1786-1864), also known as Utagawa Kunisada (歌川 国貞). Included is Portrait of Komatsuya Yashichi at Maisaka Station and Portrait of a man at Fuchû Station. The prints are from the Fifty-Three Stations Along the Tōkaidō Road series and printed during the mid-1850s. The works are double-matted under glass and set in contemporary plastic frames with hanging wire to the back.
