Antique Civil War Era Cavalry Sword

Item Details

A Civil War era cavalry sword. This antique cavalry sword features a wooden grip set within a brass hand guard and handle. The blade has an upward curvature and is made of steel as well. Just beneath the hand guard are very faded marks that appear to read ‘15’ with an illegible number beneath.

Condition

- to poor; extreme rust and pitting to blade; handle wood cracked near the guard; no scabbard present; marks extremely faded; evidence of repair.
