John Singer Sargent Exhibition Poster for National Gallery of Art

An exhibition poster for the works of John Singer Sargent (American, 1856 – 1925), on display February 21 – May 31 1999 at the National Gallery of Art. The piece poster features a reproduction image of Sargent’s 1911 painting Nonchaloir (Repose). The poster is inscribed to the lower margin reading ‘Made possible by Ford Motor Company’. It is presented in a green metal frame under glass, wired on the verso.
