An offset lithograph on paper of a man in a boat, after a painting titled The Fog Warning by well-known New England genre painter Winslow Homer (1836-1910).
This print depicts the figure in a small rowboat loaded down with halibut, his head turned to look at the fog moving in from the horizon and the ship visible across the choppy waters. The piece is signed and dated in plate ‘Winslow Homer 1885’ to its lower left corner. The print is matted under glass in a brown frame with a wire to its verso for hanging.
