A drawing of a couple in a car, titled When Woman Drives, by Fern Carron Fisk. This piece, appearing to use nib pen and ink, depicts a man and woman seated side-by-side, the woman with both hands on the steering wheel of a car. Her riding partner thoughtfully strokes his chin, while the woman, her hat tied down with a scarf, bears a regal expression on her face. This drawing, titled to the center of the bottom edge and signed and dated ‘1913’ to its lower right, is presented with a green border under glass in a painted gold tone frame with a wire and notes of provenance to the verso.
Condition
- glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; sticker to the upper right of glass; drawing is lightly warped; light wear to frame finish.
