A vintage Virginia Maid cedar chest. The chest features a rectangular, paneled hinged lid on a body that stand on four squared and tapered legs. The exterior of the chest has been painted to look distressed in gray and off-white. The chest’s interior is lined in finished cedar and features a hinged drop-down green felt-lined shelf. It is marked to interior: ‘Genuine Virginia Maid Cedar Chest,’ ‘$1000 Guaranty Against Moth Damage,’ and ‘’Aroma-Tite’®, Pressure Tested, Tested Under Air Pressure Through Lock Opening’.
