Pair of Vintage Chinese Watercolor Paintings
Item Details
A pair of original vintage Chinese watercolor paintings on rice paper. Both of the paintings depict bright birds in picturesque garden scenes filled with blossoming trees and rocks. One painting depicts chickens, and the other depicts pheasants. Both paintings have a signature and artist’s seal to the lower corner. They are both mounted to white backing and are presented in wooden frames carved to look like bamboo with ivory and red tone finishes. Hanging wires are attached to the verso of each. One of the pieces has glass, and one is missing its glass.
Condition
- glass missing from one painting. Light water damage to paper backing.
