An 1883 Racketeer nickel. This coins is an 1883 w/out cents nickel that was gold plated and meant to be passed off as a $5 gold piece. Designer: Charles E. Barber. Metal content: 75% copper, 25% nickel. Diameter: 21.2 mm. Weight: approximately 5 grams. Circulated. Good condition.
