1880s "Brontë's Works" Six-Volume Collection

A collection of six volumes of the works of the Brontë sisters. The books in this collection were published between 1882 and 1884 by Smith, Elder, & Co., and have a uniform half-leather binding over marbled boards with gilt spine decoration. This collection includes Jane Eyre: An Autobiography by Currer Bell (i.e. Charlotte Brontë, Shirley by Currer Bell, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë, one volume containing The Professor by Currer Bell with the collected poems of Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell (i.e. Charlotte, Emily and Anne Brontë), one volume containing Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë and Agnes Grey by Anne Brontë with a preface by Charlotte Brontë, and _The Life of Charlotte Brontë by Elizabeth Gaskell.
