A Persian hand-knotted Hamadan area rug. This rug has a large oblong hexagon medallion with a beige color and geometric designs. There are two matching side medallions in black with red and white geometric designs. They are inside a red field decorated with colorful geometric shapes and white corner accents. There is a guard border decorated with a zig-zag pattern. It has overcast edges and thick cotton warp fringe to the ends.
