Early 20th Century Mahogany Junghans German Wall Clock

Item Details

An early 20th century German regulator Victorian style wall clock by clockmaker, Junghans. The case is mahogany veneer detailed with columns, and finials. The wood crown is removable and is accented with applied figural and final details. The glass door has a concealed hinge and opens from the right to reveal a mahogany back panel with a diamond sketch face pattern. The dial of the clock is enamel, marked ’ Jnghans’ in the center and has Roman Numerals. No key is present. The workings appear to be brass and the detachable brass pendulum is present.

Condition

Consistent with age. Mahogany veneer inside has some residue on the sketch panels. Not presently working , key is missing. Some pitting on the brass pendulum.
