A grouping of three prints after the work of Shikō Munakata (棟方 志功, 1903-1975). The works have varied subject matter including cityscapes and stylized figures. Included are two cityscapes with expressive line and movement. Each piece reproduces the artist’s signature or seal. The third print depicts three stylized figures surrounded by text in various languages including Japanese and English. The piece is marked with seals to the lower left. Each piece is printed on rice paper backed by white backing paper, printed with inscriptions in Japanese.
Condition
- papers are curling at top and bottom due to the way they were stored.
