Hermès "A Propos des Bottes" Silk Scarf

An Hermès silk scarf in the A Propos des Bottes pattern designed by Xavier De Poret. This design depicts riding boots and other equestriana in neutral shades against a light blue ground. The artist garnered attention for his early drawings of horses, birds and other animals and made a name for himself as a major portrait artist, having been been commissioned to create a portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II. This 90 cm carre is finished with hand-rolled and stitched edges. Originally issued in 1962, this version of the scarf was reissued in 1997 and includes the original care tag. A branded box and bolduc ribbon is included.
