"Toby" Mug Collection
Item Details
A collection of five hand-painted ‘Toby’ mugs. The collection includes a mug depicting W. C. Fields, wearing a black top hat, and it is marked indistinctly to the underside. Another depicts a seated man, all in white, with gold luster details, which is not marked. A blue and white painted mug depicts a seated man and is marked ‘Toby by Wood & Sons England’. A mug depicting a man wearing a green hat is marked along the back side ‘Tony Weller’, and is marked to the underside ‘Artone England Hand Painted’. A mug depicting a gray-haired man wearing a cocked hat is marked ‘Made in Japan’.
