Kalamkari Persian Printed Textile
Item Details
An Indian style printed textile of flat-woven cotton. This piece has a palette of primary colors and black outlines and features a central star-shaped medallion in a field grounded in white with floral boteh designs, both stand alone and worked into triangles, with a half circle at both top and bottom. The field is contained in four borders with a primary herati pattern grounded in red between two small geometric borders. The outer border is a floral-detailed scallop edge. The edges are finished with knotted warp fringe.

- two stains, visible on either side of fabric.
