Vintage Architectural Hand-Colored Engravings after Thomas Allom of French Landmarks

A pair of vintage architectural hand-colored engravings after Thomas Allom (1804 – 1872) of French landmarks. Allom was an English illustrator, artist and architect. The two works included are Grand Staircase, Palace of the Louvre, Paris engraved by T. Turnbull and Exterior of the Cathedral of St. Gatien, Tours engraved by W.H. Capone. Each of the works is signed and titled in plate to the bottom and is presented with a green velvet mat, under glass, in a white and gold tone painted wood frame.

- spotting and foxing of the paper noted on both
