A vintage intaglio print on paper by Lowenstein. This print depicts a darkened interior with a woman seated at a table, illuminated by the light from a small window. She is leaning toward the stone fireplace, stoking the fire with a stick. A cat sits on the stone floor in the foreground, and other objects are suggested in the shadows. Printer information is included above the image, reading ‘Druk v. J.E. & Z.-Haarlem’, with the original artist and engraver printed beneath the image. The work is presented under a white mat and glass, in a wood frame with a sawtooth hanger affixed to the verso.
