Taiwanese "Lotus Foot" Smoking Pipe

Item Details

A Taiwanese smoking pipe. This piece is composed of a ceramic body that features artwork of a family relaxing outside in Delft inspired colors; with the body being in the shape of a lotus foot shoe. The ceramic body is supported by a metal frame that is adorned with assorted symbols and motifs. A few Chinese characters are present on the verso of the frame.

Condition

- light wear; tarnish, oxidation and discoloration present on the metal components of the pipe.
