Item Details
A set of royal wedding mugs. The four items in this lot include two commemorating the July 29, 1981 marriage of Charles and Diana and one celebrating the 1986 wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. This lot also includes a mug celebrating the 1977 Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II; it is marked to the base ‘Staffordshire Potteries Ltd – Ironstone – Made in England – S-12-76’. The glass mug of Charles and Diana is unmarked with a maker’s name; the porcelain mug is marked to the other side ‘St. Paul’s Cathedral – 28th July 1981’. The mug for Andrew and Sarah features gilding to the handle and is marked to the base ‘Polly-Anna – Pure Bone China – Made in England’.
