Henry Pember Smith Oil Painting on Wood Panel of Venetian Scene
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a Venetian canal scene by artist Henry Pember Smith (American, 1854-1907). Signed by the artist to the lower right corner. Housed in a gilt and gesso wood frame with a linen liner and hanging wire to the verso. Smith’s Venetian subject were well received in the late 19th century, and the artist made several trips there.
Condition
- minor chips, scratches, and wear to the gesso on the frame.
