A reproduction color lithograph on paper after an original watercolor titled Marriage for Money by well-listed artist José Frappa (French, 1854 – 1904). Housed in a gilt and gesso wood frame under glass and a single layer of fabric matting with a gilt fillet and brass-tone nameplate. Frappa was well-known for his genre scenes. The foil for this work is titled Marriage for Love.

Condition

- adhesive residue on the glass; minor wear to the frame including scratches and nicks.
