A watercolor and gouache painting on paper titled ‘Putting up the Tents’ by well-listed American artist, Gifford Beal (1879–1956). Gifford Beal, who worked in a range of mediums has had works displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and the Art Institute of Chicago. This impressionist painting depicts adults and children gathered together outside, setting up a red tent. This painting has no visible signature. It is matted in white and presented behind glass in a gold tone wooden frame with a metal hanging wire to the verso. Affixed to the verso is a gallery label from Kraushaar Galleries attributing this piece to Gifford Beal.

- very small hole in paper to sky near red tent; surface wear to frame; chipping to corners of frame.
