A fine hand-knotted Pakistani wool area rug from the Rug Gallery. The signed 100% wool area rug features a medallion at center surrounded by a vermillion red field with a dense herati pattern of flowers and arabesque motifs in shades of cornflower blue, white, cream, navy, rose, grey, and tan. The main border features a deep indigo ground with a palmette _herati pattern in shades of cream, evergreen, vermillion red, cornflower blue, pale yellow, mauve, and tan, framed by compound flora guard borders in the field colors. It is signed to one end in a small cartouche. The rug features long, hand-tied warp fringe at either end. Labeled to reverse.
