A finely hand-knotted Isfahan wool area rug. The wool rug features a circular floral pendant medallion at center in shades of cornflower blue, vermillion, mauve, navy, pale yellow, sage, olive, and tan on a cream ground. The deep cobalt field features an arabesque motif in shades of cornflower blue, vermillion, mauve, sage, olive, pale yellow, cream, and taupe. The main border features a cream ground with a beautiful herati design in tones of rose pink, navy, sage, brown, lilac, cornflower blue, petal pink, vermillion, and white. The primary band is framed by a series of ornate floral guard borders in the field colors. It has overcast edges and fine, soft wool warp fringe. Unlabeled.
