A wood engraving on printmaking paper with deckled lower edges after a watercolor from famed Spanish Surrealist Savlador Dalì’s (1904 – 1989) highly-famed series Divine Comedy. This print is titled Heaven Canto 15. This print is from a unique ‘decomposition’ released along with the complete print; the decomposition served as ‘proof’ that these meticulous prints were indeed woodblocks by releasing a series of prints with a progression of each added color in the 32-color printing method. For example, a print with just the first color is included, then the first and second color, then the first, second, and third colors, etc. A sticker to the verso is signed by Bruce Hochman OS, a Dalí scholar and expert who authored The Print Price Guide to the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali, providing additional authentication. The print is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation.
